Hello and welcome back to my blog.
For my last post of the year I thought it would be fun to do a round-up of everything I’ve made in 2017. This year has been an exciting one for me as back in January I bought my first home. The house needed a lot of work and my dad, who is amazing and my hero, is still working on extending the kitchen. It’s going to look fantastic when it’s finished, especially as it will incorporate my new sewing space! With all this going on, I haven’t sewn quite as much I would’ve liked but I’m very pleased with what I managed to complete.
I think my two main sewing achievements for 2017 are improving my fitting skills, and improving my ability to work with stretch fabrics. Earlier in the year, my mum and I attended a jersey day at Jane White Couture, which really boosted my confidence. Discovering the wonderful Coco pattern by Tilly and the Buttons was another milestone moment.
Anyway, without further ado, here is everything I’ve made in 2017. I also created a number of homeware items and accessories this year so I’ve included that too. There are links to specific blog posts where appropriate.
